Ian has served as Director of the Digital Marketing Institute for over 5 years and in that time the Institute’s qualifications have become the most widely taught global certification standard and are now available in over 70 countries. He has led a team in the creation of a broad range of education programmes and qualifications from short courses through to Masters level qualifications in digital marketing. In that time he developed a syllabus advisory council consisting of representatives from all the major digital companies and agencies. He has worked within the digital industry to codify a set of certification standards which act as a qualification and career pathway for the three key education stakeholders, Universities, Students and Employers.
In a field like education that faces constant disruption he is an advocate for student centric outcomes and is a passionate believer in digital technologies as democratising and enabling tools for whatever ails a society.
